Empowering young people with disabilities to access their rights in the West Bank

In a complex and challenging socio-economic context like the Occupied Palestinian Territory, young people with disabilities find themselves marginalised and unable to be active members of society: young women are particularly at risk of isolation.

Between 2010-2013, Y Care International supported the East Jerusalem YMCA (EJYMCA) to carry out a project focusing on access to rights, including livelihoods, of young people with physical disabilities (YPWD) in four locations in the West Bank.

The project was evaluated in August 2013 and key findings and recommendations are summarised in the publication.
