Y Care International CEO speaks to BBC Radio Shropshire

Y Care International CEO Adam Leach spoke to BBC Radio Shropshire this week about touring South Africa to meet local YMCAs and find ways of working together to build young people’s job skills.

Adam is currently in South Africa with Y Care International President Terry Waite CBE, and Clive Knowles from Black Country Metal Works who are exploring ways of working with local YMCAs to develop training programmes for young offenders.

There is a 25 per cent unemployment rate in South Africa and ex-offenders are virtually unemployable because of their past and so many will re-offend. This week Clive Knowles and Adam Leach spoke to BBC Radio Shropshire about how they are looking to break this cycle.
