Global youth work grants
Y Care International has provided funding for global youth work since 2008. With funding from the UK Government’s Department for International Development, we are able to provide a variety of different sized grants for youth work organisations and young people.
Our global youth work grants programme is now open for applications for projects beginning after 1 April 2012.
Global Youth Work in Action
Y Care International’s Global Youth Work in Action (GYWiA) grants programme offers funding for innovative projects that work with marginalised young people in the UK.
We support projects that enable marginalised young people aged primarily between 13 and 25 who experience disadvantage or discrimination to explore the global dimension of issues that affect their lives and which bring about positive change.
This year, Y Care International (YCI) has funding to support seven GYWiA projects.
- five £5,000 projects; and
- two £10,000 projects
For £10,000 projects, YCI will provide £8,000 of funding. Your organisation must match-fund £2,000 of the budget. This may be made up of in-kind payments, such as staff time.
The deadline for applications is 5pm Friday 2 March 2012.
All projects should begin after 1 April 2012 and be completed by 31 October 2012.
