Darwin Alvarez Funes made an oral intervention at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on 16 March 2009.
Darwin spoke out against violence targeted at young people in Honduras, saying that Honduras is one of the most violent countries in the world. He called on the Human Rights Council to demand that the State of Honduras start safeguarding the rights of young people in conflict with the law and end all violence against young people.
