Our work in the developing world helps young people develop alternatives to a future of poverty and lack of opportunity
What we do
Y Care International works in partnership with YMCAs to support projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East that empower young people and their communities to find alternatives to a future of poverty and disadvantage. We also work through local YMCAs and other partners to respond to emergencies and natural disasters. In the UK and Ireland, we work with young people in the YMCA movement to raise awareness of and interest in international issues

At times of emergency and natural disaster, Y Care International undertakes relief, reconstruction and rehabilitation work through local YMCAs

Campaigning is a vital part of the struggle to create a change in policies that cause poverty and injusticeGlobal youth work
We are one of the biggest providers of global youth work in the UK and Ireland, which enables young people to explore the global perspectives of local issues
